Emergency Information

In an emergency:
  • 24 hour emergency telephone number: 015242 76575
  • Call for the local fire service (if deemed necessary) on 999


In the event of a gas leak or suspected spillage:
  • Extinguish all naked flames or ignition sources.
  • Turn off all gas appliances.
  • Do not turn on or off any electrical equipment.
  • Turn off the gas supply at the gas emergency control and the storage vessel valve(s).
  • If the leak is indoors, open doors and windows to increase ventilation.
Immediately notify your gas supplier in order that the installation may be tested and made safe and any necessary repair carried out.


In the event of a fire:
  • Dial 999 and call the fire brigade immediately. 
  • Tell them an LPG vessel is on the premises.
  • Turn off the gas supply, BUT only if it is practicable and safe to do so.
